WHAT IS JAMES WEARING? Rotating Header Image

Jacques Adnet

Details are important in design. Every element right down to the smallest accessory has to strengthen and enhance a point of view that I’ve established for an interior. To this end I’m always on the hunt for strong pieces to support the work I’m doing, and I often turn to my favorite furniture designers for that perfect piece. One of those designers is the legendary Jacque Adnet. He always used the the most sumptuous materials in the crafting of his sleek modernist objects, and many of his versatile designs are suitable for luxe minimalist spaces as well as for adding a bit of a modern edge to a high style traditional interior.

I’m crazy about this lamp I came across at the super chic Pascal Boyer gallery.

With its unique organic almost classical iron and brass stand and interesting amorphous shade, it will be playing an important supporting role in an upcoming James Andrew interior.

I’m sporting a navy cotton pique jacket by Gucci gucci.com, a red, white and navy linen pocket square from Bergdorf Goodman ,Turnbull and Asser red and white cotton striped shirt with contrast white collar and French cuffs, silver pearl and pale blue sapphire Seaman Schepps cufflinks, Hermes “blue jeans” blue leather belt with silver buckle, Gucci cotton khaki pants, navy suede loafers and white leather bag both by Gucci, and vintage cartier.com tank watch from Raj Tolaram.

The navy jacket and jeans is such a classic combination, but you give it such style and verve with your great accessories,

I’m a big fan of your work and blog, you definitely know how to impress and inspire other people. By the way are you going to Paris for MAISON & OBJET?

The proportions of that lamp really disturb me but you look the picture of classic male elegance. The red mouchoire and the green belt with the black shoes is a great look – not ‘matchy matchy’. Inspired. F

Oh, and that bag, can we get a good shot of it – loving it!
