Lobel Modern is a gallery that showcases pieces by important designers from the 1940’s through the 1980’s. A trip to Evan Lobel’s gallery never disappoints – there you will find a superb array of stylish furniture, lighting, and useful accessories. On a recent visit I was quite taken with a pair of slipper chairs covered in red silk by the designer Edward Wormley whose work remains timeless, elegant, and understated. I often use pairs of slipper chairs flanking a sofa to create a space that is conducive to good conversation.
Channeling an iconic photograph of the Duchess of Windsor by Horst I am wearing a charcoal tweed Tyrolean jacket with black leather trim by Gucci, Tom Ford shirt in pale blue cotton Glenn plaid, Ralph Lauren black and white silk polka dot scarf, Diesel black skinny jeans, Gucci silver belt, Gucci black python “Playboy” loafers, Sermoneta pale blue peccary gloves and sunglasses by Dior.
