FINAL DESTINATIONS: ST KITTS AND ST BARTHS VIA WINDSTAR

Most mornings aboard Windsurf begin with breakfast al fresco on one of the ship’s outdoor dining decks. There one could ease into a delightful day while enjoying a phenomenal view of the island one was about to explore.

We’d be presented with recommendations for interesting spots to visit and nicely packaged Windstar tours one could take, but if one wanted to be a bit more independent (as we generally do) it’s an easy thing to arrange one’s own sightseeing itinerary.

For St Kitts we sorted out the most brilliant tour guide/driver and were whisked off to the glorious gardens at the Romney Plantation, followed by a day of luxury and lounging seaside at the Carambola Beach Club.

St Barths was our last stop – I commend Windstar’s planning staff for choosing this as the finale to our beautiful cruise. As our readers may know we at WIJW absolutely adore St Barths, and we spent a full day on this super chic island.

We took in a bit of shopping in fabulous Gustavia. 100% Capri (originated in Capri) has the most divine designs, hats, belts, and lovely linen clothing. We also love Bijoux de la Mer with their unique pearl and leather bracelets and necklaces. Our very own Scott McBee treated himself to the most gorgeous bracelet there! Then we were off to the impossibly chic Shellona Beach Club – more lounging seaside, glorious views, a lovely luncheon, and of course the requisite bottles of rosé. Perfection. We capped off our splendid day on St Barths with cocktails and then boarded Windsurf for our farewell dinner.

This was such a sublime voyage and a truly brilliant way to explore many of the islands we had not been to.

Farewell Windsurf!

Farewell Windsurf!

With the smell of palm and tropical sea air still lingering in our minds, it won’t surprise you that we can’t wait for our next cruise!

For our farewell dinner aboard Windsurf, I’m sporting Tom Ford indigo and ivory silk glen plaid jacket, a navy dot print cotton shirt, white and navy pin stripe linen pants, Battistoni navy and white silk pocket square, Max Verre denim tasseled loafers, vintage Rolex, Kiel James Patrick woven white cotton belt, and my fragrance Tom Ford’s Mandarino di Amalfi.
