Some of you may recall my young friend, artist, aesthete, and Renaissance man, Alexis Zambrano that we featured here on WIJW some time ago (see our previous post here).
And you may also recall that I am a huge fan of his work! I’ve been rather mesmerized by the portraits he has been painting lately, and thought it’d be a tremendous gift to myself to commission Zambrano to paint my portrait! He liked a photo of me by my super stylish friend Christopher Korey, and Zambrano used that as a basis for this lovely painting.

There is a touch of Sargent in Zambrano’s work I think – with an added refreshing modern twist. Why not have your friends, family and/or lovers captured by Zambrano’s exquisite eye?!
Wonderful portrait of an urbanely dapper individual! In addition to Sargent, I see some Velázquez! Beautiful!
THAT IS A PAINTING THE FIRST PHOTO UP TOP?
WOW!!!!!!!
I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HIM CAPTURE A ROOM IN MY HOUSE OR ME AND THE PIG!
I have to tell you I just posted on IG today and one of the comments was this could be a SARGENT!Than to see YOU saying the same……….AS YOU WERE THE ONE WHO GOT ME GOING ON IG I find this all kinda MARVELOUS!
PS. Our friend Penelope is in the line of the terrible Fires in Southern California. You might want to check in with her!XX

My Dear La Contessa,
A portrait of you and your pig would be so sublime!
Funny – the collective conciousness has us on a similar wave length.
I have had Penny in my thoughts and prayers- this is all so very sad.

Thank you for your thoughts prayers, and visualizations! We are unscathed and so grateful!
This morning in our pond (ashy but wet!) there was a beautiful great egret, a smaller green heron, and a pair of mallards!
So much habitat lost for the wild animals. Praying for rain….a little at a time!
My Dear Penelope Bianchi,
We are so unbelievable relieved for you all!!!
Did you take photos of these lovely birds? I do miss nature – desperate to find a little pile outside of New York City for me and Mr McB and lots of paws.
Rain and Protection are here for you now!
Much Love and All Best for a marvelous 2018
