The Age of Elegance: Interiors by Alex Papachristidis

The Age of Elegance - cover

I’m just beyond thrilled and honored to share my dear friend Alex Papachristidis’ brilliant new book, The Age of Elegance: Interiors by Alex Papachristidis. Written by Dan Shaw with gorgeous photographs by Tria Giovan, and a forward by Mario Buatta, it’s a rich celebration of Papachristidis’ stellar career and marks the 25th year of his firm.

Known for “wall to wall luxury,” his interiors are imbued with an updated elegance and sophistication. With strong influences from the likes of Renzo Mongiardino and Sister Parish, Papachristidis takes decoration to its highest and most elevated level. It should come as no surprise that his eclectic mix of fabulous antiques, modern art, and chinoiserie resonates so strongly with me. I’m particularly wild about his signature stenciled floors as well. And his approach as courtier to his clients strikes a deep and sympathetic chord with us here at WIJW – creating that all inclusive picture for a client is certainly the very best way to create truly unique and immersive interiors.

A must have book for those of you who are interested in interior design or simply for the dreamer in you – we’re sure you’ll all be dazzled and inspired by the sumptious images and decorating insight this book offers. I’m pictured here, stopping by the rather fabulous offices of Alex Papachristidis to get my very own copy signed. For the occasion, I’m sporting a Tom Ford pink silk “Spencer” jacket; black linen sateen pants and black and white striped cotton shirt; Pucci pocket square in pinks, blues, and black; pearl and sapphire cuff links; Rolex watch, and Tom Ford era Gucci black leather tasseled loafers. My fragrance is Creed Royal Water.
