I can’t tell you how pleased I was to be invited to the New Yorkers for Children Fall Gala. And I was even more pleased that our hostess, the ravishing and elegant Marina Killery - a fellow ahalife curator — seated my gorgeous friend Shauna Mei — ahalife CEO — and me at her delightful table!
NYFC is an amazing organization benefiting youth in foster care. Other charities would do well to note the success of this Gala! Throughout the evening, many of the young men and women who have had their lives transformed by the NYFC spoke of their experiences - and I can tell you the evening was not want for inspiring and uplifting stories. Of course in addition to supporting a great cause the evening was filled with plenty of over the top glamor and elegance, making for an event that both warmed the heart and sated the senses!
My friend Shauna Mei dressed in a stunning Marchesa gown, and I’m dressed in Tom Ford for Gucci black silk moire dinner jacket, white cotton voile and lace tuxedo shirt, tuxedo pants in black wool crepe with satin and gross grain ribbon bands, and black patent evening shoes, bow tie in black silk faille by Tom Ford -
Seaman Schepps cufflinks.
my studs and cuff links are white gold with cabochon sapphires and diamonds by my favorite jeweler Seaman Schepps and for such a brilliant evening my fragrance had to be Creed Imperial Millesime.

What I love about these tuxedo pants is that there is a satin waist band and eliminates the need for a cummerbund.
