This past Easter Sunday we had the great pleasure of spending some time with our friends, the legendary interior designer Juan Montoya and his partner Urban Karlsson at their country home. While there, we went for a wonderful grounds and garden tour. Our very lovely and multi talented friend Paulette Pascarella concocted THE most refreshing and much appreciated “Old Fashioned” variations to take with us on our walk—all contributing to a Gosford Park weekend house-party feel, minus the murder, of course! We followed our stroll with a luscious luncheon, well chosen wine, and thoroughly satisfying conversation—the perfect and most enjoyable conclusion to a day well spent amongst friends both new and old!

I’m sporting a Tom Ford era Gucci dusty rose suede safari jacket, pale khaki pants, brown suede with pink trimmed shoes and a python belt with a silver buckle, Tom Ford Ebony Pink cotton bandana print shirt, Gucci sunglasses, my fragrance is Eau d’Italie, Paestum Rose.

Kips Bay President’s Preview and Dinner Gala

I was thrilled to attend the Kips Bay President’s Preview and Dinner Gala recently, celebrating the 39th Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House.

The Show House, which had its start in 1973, invites noted interior designers to transform a luxury Manhattan home into an elegant exhibition of fine furnishings, art, and technology. The underlying mission at Kips Bay has been to enhance the quality of life for very deserving young people ages 6-18 in an effort to help them achieve their best potential, and the decorator show house contributes critical funds to this important cause.

The Kips Bay Decorator Show House will open to the public Thursday, April 28 to Thursday, May 26, and is a must-see experience that will leave you feeling wonderfully inspired.

I’ll be sure to share a few highlights of the show house in an upcoming post!
