The Bunny Williams Interior

Bunny Williams, a fellow graduate of the “Parish Hadley University” brilliantly celebrates the lessons of Albert Hadley in her breathtakingly beautiful room at the 2009 Kips Bay decorator Show house.

Here, Williams, a design icon in her own right, creates a contemporary version of the “great room,” – a place where you can do everything – live, eat, work, entertain, and relax. Williams also takes this opportunity to introduce her uber chic new limited edition home furnishings collection, Bee Line. Many of the fabulous pieces here are part of her new line and I’ll be sure to bring you more about Bee Line in an upcoming post.

Keeping in the spirit of our shared mentor Albert Hadley, Williams’ decorating style is unabashedly eclectic. A sophisticated mix of modern pieces, antiques, and select works of art, all coalesce to create a stunning effect. Color and scale is highlighted here as well – of particular note is her bold choice of wall color – a vibrant Benjamin Moore turquoise called “California Breeze.”

Williams’ interiors are not simply showpieces as is so oft the case in contemporary interior design – rather they are meant to be used, enjoyed, and lived in, albeit in a certain elevated style! It is no wonder that Bunny Williams has attained such stellar levels of success.

Here I’m pictured basking in the beauty and brilliance of Bunny’s room. I’m wearing a Gucci suit in gray cotton, Tom Ford shirt in blue cotton with contrast white collar, Seaman Schepps cuff links in precious turquoise and white gold, Hermes belt in navy blue leather with silver buckle, Navy blue leather shoes by Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent blue, gray, and black silk paisley pocket square.
