WHAT IS JAMES WEARING? Rotating Header Image

The A. C. Scott Photograph

As promised I am including an update on my luxe/minimalist project. I’ve had the bedroom walls of my discerning client’s apartment finished in large pale grey squares of bark paper – a nod to the early 20th century designer Jean-Michel Frank who often had his walls covered in squares of parchment.

My twist on the Frank wall treatment provides a soothing architectural backdrop for two beautiful photographic works that my client recently acquired by the brilliant photographer A. C. Scott. Seen in the Feb. issue 20 of the jet-set London based Monocle magazine, Scott’s work is for “in-the-know” art collectors, (his list of patrons read like a who’s who of prominent curators, media moguls, and distinguished families). The image I am posing beside is a large color c-print triptych in expansive blues and soft whites. Its clean vintage space-age feel and crisp white box frame creates the perfect ultra-cool vibe for this handsome NYC apartment. At some point I will let you see our other recently acquired Alexander Scott photograph when I blog more on this fantastic interior.

Admiring the latest addition to this fabulous collection, I am wearing a grey wool suit by Gucci, Tom Ford white on white stripe cotton shirt, Charvet silver grey silk tie, Seaman Schepps silver pearl with pale blue sapphire cuff links, grey silk pocket square by Turnbull and Asser, and Yves Saint Laurent black leather “Windsor” loafers.
