MONUMENT TO THE MAYANS

As mentioned, when in Tulum, a visit to the Mayan ruins is a must. A particularly dreary day provided the perfect moment to take a quick 15 minute taxi ride to the site which is dramatically perched high above a spectacular turquoise Caribbean sea. The weather helped to set a suitably sombre mood for our contemplation of the passage of time, and the demise of a once great civilization.

For our mini-exploration, I think I did quite well at channeling the look of a 1970’s gay explorer! I’m sporting a Gucci white cotton voile safari shirt, Lindeberg khaki shorts, a brown and hot pink ribbon belt from Paul Stuart, hot pink silk/cotton voile scarf by Tom Ford, Gucci aviator style sunglasses and brown and pink suede loafers, vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual and a vintage parabuntal straw hat, my fragrance Eau d’Italie, Paestum Rose.

    James,

You remind me of Truman here. Previous post you reminded me of perhaps a brother of the famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Both great looks!
