Although we had only been back in New York City for a few days, we found ourselves off on another holiday! Our super chic and gracious friends had finally settled into their marvelous home in Maine and invited us to come up for a week. We had already spent some time at their lovely Lyford Cay home, and so we knew we were in for a treat as we headed up to the Cranberry Isles to enjoy some time as rusticators (albeit Tom Ford wearing, Louis Vuitton toting ones).
On our way, North East Harbor had some rather fabulous little shops, and we took a private boat tour of the Cranberry Isles (with lobster rolls in hand, of course). Needless to say the place was everything I had hoped it would be and so much more—truly the most perfect escape from the heat of a New York summer. Such idyllic perfection: fresh air, cool breezes, ocean, and the most sensational vistas everywhere one looked.
Oh, and our friends’ home was exactly what one fantasizes about—the most perfect Maine retreat with luxurious comfort rendered in glorious patterns and colors. Genius.
Our private suite of rooms had plenty of room for me to sort out my wardrobe, and, after a little nap, we were treated to chilled Rose for cocktail hour. We then headed off to a fabulous little local restaurant on the harbor for more lobster. Evenings were spent drinking wine and sharing stories while lounging about on comfy down filled sofas and chairs.
Dressed for dinner I’m sporting a Tom Ford royal and white mulberry silk glen plaid jacket, a pink and burgundy feather weight cashmere rugby style shirt with white cotton collar and placket, Uniglo white cotton slim cargo pant, Ralph Lauren navy leather D ring belt and pink and navy paisley cotton voile pocket square, Navy suede Gucci loafers, vintage Rolex watch, Gucci sunglasses and my fragrance is Creed Royal Water.
