An evening at the Metropolitan Opera is a magical thing. Opera conjures up romantic fantasies for me with its exquisite music and sets. The Met is a sublime example of International Style architecture (Wallace Harrison, architect), and by the time the recently revamped Lobmeyr crystal chandeliers retract into the ceiling, one is thoroughly prepared for a world class performance. Going to the opera is a complete experience, and as such, I like to celebrate by dressing up!
Here I am on the grand staircase in a black silk moire jacket, over a white cotton pleated tuxedo shirt, black silk satin tie, tuxedo pants with a satin and faille stripe, black patent leather evening shoes all by Gucci – black pearl cufflinks by Seamen Schepps and white silk pocket square by Charvet.
STUNNING!!!!!
