Kenzo Okada

The International Fine Arts and Antiques Fair at the Park Avenue Armory is a fantastic way to meet some of the finest dealers from around the globe. I was delighted to see my friends from the Chinese Porcelain Company there. They had a breathtakingly beautiful painting by the Japanese American artist, Kenzo Okada. I first saw his work gracing the walls of the legendary Villa Fiorentina decorated by Billy Baldwin, and I have been in love ever since. His light earth-toned palette and expressive compositions add a freshness to any interior. I look forward to owning one or two of his works for my own home.

Here I am in front of an Okada hanging above an important Louis XVI commode. I am wearing my Tyroleon style charcoal tweed jacket with leather trim by Gucci, over a plum feather weight cashmere turtleneck sweater by Gucci, Diesel black skinny jeans, YSL aubergine suede “Eton boot” and Dior sunglasses.
