This time of year sure can be a bit overwhelming—it’s a frenzy of planning and festivities here, along with a good deal of rushing about for work, trying to get those last minute loose ends tidied up before everything and everyone goes into holiday mode.

All we can say is take a breathe, take it easy, and enjoy!

Unfortunately, with all the seasonal commotion, our blog output has been fairly lean, for which we are truly sorry. As you might imagine, WIJW is a pretty time consuming labor of love; coordinating photographers, subjects, locations, art direction and wardrobe to offer fresh and hopefully inspiring content on a weekly basis is quite an undertaking! Of course we’re more about quality than quantity and we much prefer to share only the best of our efforts (and I’m guessing you share our sentiment). All this being said, rest assured we’ve been dreaming up some fabulous getaways, including sunny escapes to Lyford and Palm Beach, and as always, we’ll be taking our lovely and devoted readership along (namely, you!). So do stay tuned, it’s going to be a bright new year!

For our little post here, I’m captured luxuriating in the moment by our friend, the genius photographer Alvaro Nates. I’m sporting a Tom Ford amethyst wool tri-color window pane tweed “Country” jacket, lavender striped cotton shirt, brown wool knit tie, brown and ivory silk glen plaid pocket square, brown cotton corduroy pants, brown leather belt and brown suede shoes with crocodile cap toes. My fragrance is Tom Ford Oud.

  1. George Cruz says:

James, it’s understandable that with all that goes into your quality blog that you would have less time, at this busy part of the year, to dedicate to it. Rest assured, for my part, I am looking forward to what you will share in the coming new year. I’m sure it will all be very enticing, knowing you.
The Tom Ford amethyst, wool tri-color, window pane, tweed jacket is a winner on you and fabulous with the lavender striped, cotton shirt and brown wool knit tie, with matching pocket square. But James, I hope I am not being too bold by stating that your deeply sensuous, smoldering stare is the best fashion accessory of all. My heart skips a beat!

  2. Danny says:

    Oh James!
That shirt collar sends me back…. Back… Back…. Back beyond the mists of time… and the hum of the internettica… To a time of bronze cars, and tinted windows… To smoking indoors…. And somehow, even in this haze of tabac, cognac… and the frisson of the imminent…. Your eyes seem more clear… more piercing than I remembered.

  3. Danny says:

Mills and Boon, I’m reachable at Butterfield, 8!

  4. James Andrew says:

    My Dear George,

I am thrilled to hear we have that kind of effect on people!

Your tremendous support means the world to us!

    Thank You!

  5. James Andrew says:

    Darling Danny,

I am hoping you are referring to the over the top fabulousness of the 1970’s!

And yes – somehow the genius of Alvaro Nates has captured all of this in the most sublime sensual way!

  6. YOWZERS! HOW ABOUT “your deeply sensuous, smoldering stare is the best fashion accessory of all. My heart skips a beat!”

  7. La Contessa says:

You said it perfectly…… Happy HOLIDAZE.
We will see you in 2014………FOR SURE!

  8. James Andrew says:

    My Dear Penny,

    I agree entirely!

We were meant to be joyful and fun and from those places we are far more powerful!

When are you bound for NYC?

  9. James Andrew says:

    Dear La Contessa,

Yes – Daze- is the operative word – with all that is going on this year.

Hoping you are finding a few moments to savour!

    Much Love
