WHAT IS JAMES WEARING? Rotating Header Image

Francis Bacon

I was thrilled to attend the private opening of the Francis Bacon exhibition at the Met recently. Included were some of the most significant, (and horrifying!), works from each period of Bacon’s career. Rent the 1998 “Love is the Devil” if you haven’t seen it – an interesting portrayal of Bacon as a deranged artistic brute – a wonderful investigation of the more sinister aspects of the human condition. Derek Jacobi’s wickedly bitchy performance of Bacon is a must see – oh, and Daniel Craig play his younger self-destructive lover!

Celebrating this special event I’m wearing a black pin stripe wool crepe suit, a black cotton shirt with contrast white collar and French cuffs, black patent leather belt with silver leather trim and silver grommets and black, white and silver leather loafers, Seaman Schepps cuff links in black pearl and white gold, pocket square in black and white silk by Tom Ford.
