WHAT IS JAMES WEARING? Rotating Header Image

Charvet

James Andrew in the shirting room at Charvet.

One should always have a nice quiver of crisp bespoke shirts at hand, and there is no better place to have them made than at Charvet. Very very few still make shirts of the same caliber, and with Charvet’s seemingly endless choice in fabric and style, one can create something that truly expresses one’s individual spirit in an unsurpassed made-to-order cut. It’s no wonder that Charvet’s clients include so many of my favorite figures both past and present – the Duke of Windsor, Gary Cooper, Cecil Beaton, Bing Crosby, Oscar Wilde, Yves Saint Laurent, André Leon Talley, and Hamish Bowles to name just a few!

And while Charvet is particularly know for their shirts, one should not overlook their beautiful ties, pocket squares, scarves, blouses, pajamas, and suits – I never can resist leaving Charvet without a rich bouquet of their most fantastic pocket squares and scarves.

Their ties are my favorites. I loved it when Christian Louboutin was using their textiles. I have 4 pair made from Charvet and they are my favorites.
