Its exaggerated shape not only provides visual interest but also make the chair quite comfortable! I could see using this chair a la David Hicks in a dramatic dark room mixed with antiques and other contemporary pieces.

No, this is not a Marrakesh souk, I am actually on West 21st street in Manhattan at the delightful Artesana Interiors, Ltd. Here you will find an enchanting collection of Moroccan furniture, tiles, light fixtures, pottery, woodwork, plaster friezes, moldings, and ceiling medallions with Moroccan patterns. I am visualizing a Moorish fantasy room for a client, incorporating these plaster friezes, and an octagonal ceiling medallion.

I am seated on a Moroccan day bed with some wonderful plaster samples behind me. I am wearing a pieced cognac suede jacket by Gucci over a lavender cotton shirt with contrast collar by Tom Ford, oatmeal corduroy pants by Gucci, green python belt and tan leather tasseled loafers, both by Gucci.
