CASA KIMBALL …hasta la proxima

If anything, I hope we’ve shown that nothing about the design of Casa Kimball is accidental – a masterful series of revelations await from the second one steps foot on the property, and EVERYTHING is geared towards creating a deeply fulfilling connection to the site.

Details like the hints of the Atlantic seen through the house (above and below) as one approaches are very much a part of a highly considered sensual narrative – “a slow tease” as the architect puts it – “with satisfaction at the moment you walk through the main door.”

…And It seems it is not by chance that Rangr’s design unfolds like a love story.

“I was single when we started the house,” Rangr muses, “and married by the end. Maybe that’s coincidence, or maybe there’s something of a romantic journey between starting and finishing CK.”

Having spent some time here, we at WIJW emphatically confirm your suspicions Mr. Rangr, and the romance absolutely continues at Casa Kimball!

I’ve enjoyed sharing a bit of an extended glimpse of the wonders of Casa Kimball with our WIJW readership over these past few entries, and still I feel there is so much to cover – sadly it’s time to say “hasta la proxima” (’till next time) – not a goodbye really, because I do plan to return soon again and I hope we at WIJW have inspired you all to visit soon as well!
