Brunschwig & Fils

With a company credo like “good design never goes out of style” it is easy to understand why many of the fabric patterns at the legendary Brunschwig & Fils showrooms have remained virtually unchanged since the 40’s – and many of these fabrics have been produced at the same factories since 1900! Despite their prestigious past, the designers at B & F are always mixing in fresh reinterpretations of their historically-inspired fabrics. I’m really excited by their new collection – a wonderful selection of Ikat, paisley, chevron, and other patterns in absolutely delicious colourways. The palette will make for some very beautiful and upbeat interiors.

I can’t wait to use the Bayadere Ikat in the berry and mandarin colourway to upholster a pair of Louis XVI oval back arm chairs for my new office.

Here I am admiring the Bayadere Ikat and Balvenie paisley in the plum/scarlet colourway – they do happen to coordinate with what I am wearing quite nicely I think!

I ‘m wearing a cognac corduroy suit by Gucci, lavender and white stripe cotton shirt with contrast white collar and cuffs by Gucci, vintage moonstone cufflinks, brown wool tie by Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford pocket square in brown and lavender silk polka dots, python belt with silver double horse head buckle by Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent “Eton” boots in aubergine suede, Tom Ford sunglasses.

  2. Omigod, I love the paisley…and there are those purple boots again!

Today I am wearing my Celtic-themed “Rogue” hoodie that I knitted last year, and a new pair o’ Levi’s. Some things never change, eh? đŸ˜‰

who is very, very happy that daughter Phoebe’s cat finally came home this morning, after escaping a week ago, and did not in fact become coyote chow as we had all feared!
