WHAT IS JAMES WEARING? Rotating Header Image

Albert Hadley

Many people have influenced my decorating sensibilities over the years, but none so much as Albert Hadley. I had the honor of working for two amazing years with the iconic Hadley at Parish-Hadley. This period in my career was indispensable, allowing me to develop and hone my vision under the sure hand of a legendary designer while executing major projects – all of the hard work went a very long way toward making me the designer I am today. Hadley, now of Albert Hadley Incorporated, continues to be sought after world wide to create his unique brand of sleek classically tailored interiors with an eye for the romantic, the new, and the whimsical.

Here I am seated in my own living room with several treasured pieces once belonging to Albert Hadley – a Louis XVI oval back chair, ivory lacquer pedestal, and a plaster cast of a bust of Antoine Pierre Barnave by Houdon. I am wearing a Gucci black wool dinner jacket with black velvet buttons and trim, plum feather weight cashmere turtleneck sweater, Turnbull and Asser gray silk pocket square, black skinny jeans by Diesel and silver leather sneakers by Dior – this is my version of dressed down/dressed up for this recent New Year’s Eve celebration.
