James Andrew 2016 – at the Frick

I like to look at the new year as a new beginning — ripe with possibility and change, with all sorts of tremendous things ahead!

The saying, “let’s hope it’s a good one without any tears” never really sat well with me. I’d much rather take control of my future and simply say let’s make it a good one…and I don’t have issues with the tears. There is always a full spectrum of emotion in life! And of course there are tears of JOY to consider as well. Those are always a good thing!

I hope all of you are busy creating some big dreams and fantasies for 2016, and visualizing how you would like the year to unfold. I myself am already planning an outrageous year – with a multitude of things in process.

Upcoming plans include a dinner party for Scott McBee’s birthday on the 10th, then on the 15th McBee and I are celebrating 10 years of togetherness. A divine dinner at one of our favorites, Le Grenouille, will certainly provide an appropriate venue for this monumental occasion. Then we are off to Palm Beach the first week of February to catch up with friends and enjoy a bit of Palm Beach chic in the sun. A sublime start! Certainly there is much more to plan (I am thrilled to be working on several incredible interior design projects as well)!

There is something rather powerful about setting things into motion, making big plans “as if” they may actually happen and then “joying” ourselves into the manifestation of those desires. Having things to look forward to and getting excited about ideas creates strong attracting energy — a place where doors are opened and dreams do indeed come true!

A spectacular start to 2016 begins with a visit to one of my favorite little museums, our beloved Frick. I’m sporting for the first time (finally cold enough here in NYC to wear it) this rather terrific Tom Ford navy wool plaid top coat, Polo Ralph Lauren navy wool tweed pants, Belstaff dark navy quilted waistcoat,Tom Ford era Gucci grey cashmere turtle neck sweater and black leather tasseled loafers, Paul Stuart gray suede gloves, vintage Rolex, Tom Ford “Marco” sunglasses, Tom Ford Bronzing Gelfor a bit of sun kissed glow and my fragrance is Creed Royal Oud.
