2014: THE MAGIC BEGINS

James Andrew - 2014

James Andrew – 2014

I certainly hope that this finds all of you gorgeous people out there recouped, recovered and refreshed after the holidays…and of course if you’re anything like me, you’re anxious now to conquer the New Year.

I have to say I was looking forward to the end of 2013 which did have a rather spectacular start…the second half of the year…hmmm, not so much. I did have to catch myself during those last couple of months from falling victim to the mistaken notion that somewhere over there in the future things will be better. The only time anything ever happens is NOW after all!

It’s not easy in circumstances of scarcity to actually connect with a sense of abundance—to feel as good as if all one needed and desired was here now. This is not always the easiest thing to do when the proverbial wolves are at the door! Focusing energy on unwanted circumstances are a sure way to plummet one into an awful downward spiral—not very helpful at all! We want to focus on what we actually want and what we can do to achieve those things. Indeed, making a tiny vibrational shift can be quite a powerful thing. Life can really change in an instant!

When things are not so good, it does feel like one might be stuck forever. In fact, quite often there are many cosmic lessons accompanying unpleasant experiences. These cosmic kicks in the ass can push us out of our slumber, urging us to mobilize forces for positive change. Yes, it’s up to us to make this new year a magical one!

Needless to say, I’m already hard at work making sure that 2014 is an epic year, and I look forward to doing all I can to set a good example, to inspire and uplift our lovely WIJW readership!

I’m pictured here kicking of the new year in style wearing my bold and beautiful Bavarian ensemble. I’m wearing a vintage Lodenfrey loden cape, Gucci charcoal cashmere wool tweed Tyrollean-style suite and brown wool cashmere plaid scarf, Uniqlo brown cashmere turtleneck sweater, Le Chameau wellies, Paul Stuart gray suede gloves, Gucci sunglasses, and my most perfect fragrance is Creed Epicea…

“With clove, exotic spices and Russian pine, Epicea evokes the elan of chalet life. Many say the fragrance calls to mind the joy of holidays in wintry climes, clear nights and starlight glistening on snow-covered hills.” — CREED

I am MAD about your rain boots…………the color………SMASHING!
You are SMASHING, but I always tell you that , but today I think I must try to google your booties and just see if I can land some of my own.Or have you had for a few years now?I must try…………
ALDO GUCCI, would have loved you!I think your too young but years back in NEW YORK there were a few select customers who were given a gold key to go to the top floor………..that would have been a dangerous room for YOU!
Lets hope 2014 this CONTESSA can figure out her next move in life and YOU have a waiting list of clientele.I like the sound of it……two thousand fourteen………..don’t you?

  5. Oh dear GOD!

LA CONTESSA! YOU ARE THE ONLY PERSON I HAVE EVER MET…..WHO KNEW ABOUT THAT SECRET PLACE IN THE GUCCI STORE IN NEW YORK!

EEEK!!! I had one of those keys too! Yikes! Because I had lived in New York….and had a friend who worked for GUCCI!!

    What happened to it?

    Does Contessa still have hers??

    Lordy!

James……you look completely elegant…..and divine as always!

Isn’t it too cold for you there???
    Want to come visit California!

The scariest thing I have ever heard are the “sonic booms” from the “vortex of cold”! Sounds like “Science Fiction”!!

  7. James Andrew says:

    Darling La Contessa,

Le Chameau are in my opinion the best wellies on earth!

They are made from real rubber and leather lined- the color is so sublime.

They are the wellies of choice to the Britain’s Royal family as well as other European aristos!

Relatively unheard of in the US – I contacted them and offered to promote them on WIJW? they sent me a pair and somehow they are all the buzz here now.

Sadly I missed the Aldo Gucci years – I would have loved to have experienced that- some fab friends and clients have given me pieces from that exclusive era.

Darling- I do like the sound of 2014 being a magical year- I would imagine many marvelous opportunities presenting themselves to you- super model, fashion icon, stylist, editor – the list goes on and on – my question would be – what brings you the most – JOY?

    Love and Light

  8. James Andrew says:

    My darling Penelope Bianchi,

I would be packing my bags as we speak to come and visit you immediately- however we are off to Lyford on Thursday morning for a long weekend.

I can’t wait to experience you and La Contessa together- what a marvelous meeting that will be!

The weather here today is frightfully frigid making me a bit agoraphobic – terrified to leave my home.

    Much Love and Light

    JA

  9. Oonagh says:

  11. James Andrew says:

    My Dear Oonagh,

I trust 2014 is off to a spectacular start!

Let’s hope that a trip to Ireland can be sorted out for this Spring- it is indeed one of the intentions I have put forward – with the help of The Irish Aesthete- Mr Robert O’Bryne- it should be a memorable trip.

Perhaps we will even have the pleasure of meeting you in person!

    Cheers

    JA
