Gucci Spring 2010

It’s already time to think about a look for Spring/Summer 2010. As much as I like to live in the moment, it’s essential to view all the collections and attend the trunk shows to secure some select pieces. It may come as no surprise that Gucci continues to be one of my favorites – the Telegraph’s 20 Best Blog accolades were pretty spot on when they described my style as “Gatsby meets Gucci.” Lets see if I’ll be given a front row seat at Gucci’s next show!

This week I’ll be going to the Gucci Spring 2010 trunk show – I’ve already narrowed down my choices and look forward to ordering several smashing ensembles! I’ll be sure to share them with you in future WIJW posts!

Excerpts from the Gucci Spring collection: (upper left) Look 28- a brilliant mix of black, gray and white - I love the pieced detail on this jacket. Look 35 - I'm crazy about these woven Ikat print pants. (lower left) Look 36- and why not an Ikat jacket. Look 40 - an evening suit in midnight blue - I've been coveting one since I saw the Duke of Windsor wearing this color.

(top) Standing in front of Gucci I am running through my list of must-haves, wearing a cognac cotton micro corduroy jacket, a western style floral print shirt in shades of pink and cognac, and a python belt with a silver double horse head buckle all by Gucci, shocking pink jeans by Dior, saddle leather tasseled loafers by Gucci and ivory and magenta silk pocket square by Tom Ford.

I love the idea of spring and summer, it should be already beginning here in southamarica but the weather is crazy and it´s cold and without sun like winter…….
